Destined With You episode 16: Did Rowoon and Jo Bo Ah end up together?

Avid fans of this K-drama have been yearning for the lead couple to cross all obstacles and live happily together. And it looks like the writers have given viewers what they want without causing enough drama.

Destined With You episode 16 opened with Jang Shin-yu searching for Hong-jo in the forest where Na Jeong-beom had kidnapped her. Jeong-beom tells her they’ll get married and be together in their next life. While Hong-jo manages to free herself from him momentarily, he eventually catches up to her and tries to kill her as the moon lights up the sky.

However, the police arrest him, but Hong-jo is left unconscious from consuming the drink Jeong-beom offered her. Moments later, when Jang Shin-yu finds her, he is heartbroken. Fearing the worst, he begs her to wake up. Fortunately, Hong-jo survives and is greeted by Shin-yu and his parents at a hospital.

Shin-yu and Hong-jo return to work. And when she goes back to her desk, she discovers that her interaction with Yoon Na-yeon (Yura) has been posted on a public forum. Later, it was revealed that Ji-ho was a part of Na-yeon’s bullying of Hong-jo when they were in school. Although it was his way of apologizing to Hong-jo, she refused to accept it as it was too late.

Meanwhile, Shin-yu resigns and advises Na-yeon’s father to worry about his daughter. Later, Na-yeon finds out about it and confronts Hong-jo about it. During their tense conversation, the police arrive and arrest Na-yeon for aiding and abetting Na Jeong-beom’s escape.

Kwon Jae-kyung (Ha Jun) admits to taking the money to change Mount Onju’s development business ownership. However, his true intention was to expose the CEO (who happens to be Na-yeon’s father) and his corrupt practices. As a result, he is cleared of the bribery charges. Kwon Jae-kyung decides to pursue a political career and starts a new chapter in his life, letting go of his love for Hong-jo.

Destined With You storylines end well. Hong-jo and Shin-yu are seen spending quality time together. As the couple walks on the beach, Shin-yu asks Hong-jo’s father for her hand in marriage. They get engaged, bringing their love story to a happy conclusion.

The ending brings the storyline to a close. Shin-yu and Hong-jo bury the wooden box of spells in the same place it was before they discovered it, putting an end to their past lives and starting a new one.
